From the Chef’s Kitchen

In late 2025,  the idea for Adriatic Jar was born in Budva. As an experienced chef, Aleksandar Kralj wanted to capture the soul of the coast in a jar—additive-free, artisanal, and professionally curated.

Artisan Roots:

A Third-Generation Legacy

Hospitality isn’t just a career for Aleksandar; it is a family tradition. As a third-generation professional in the industry, his understanding of service and quality was shaped long before he entered a professional kitchen.

From the French Alps to Global Shores

Aleksandar’s culinary journey was forged in some of the world’s most prestigious kitchens. He was educated and trained in France, honing his craft in the Trois Vallées (Courchevel) of the French Alps. This foundation led to an extensive international career spanning Dubai, Mauritius, the Maldives, and his home in Montenegro.

The Boutique Philosophy

After years of managing high-end international operations, Aleksandar returned to the essence of the craft: the ingredients. Motivated by a dedication to the highest quality produces and an artisanal approach, he launched Adriatic Jar. His mission is simple: to elevate fresh, local ingredients into boutique artisanal products. By removing all preservatives and additives, he ensures that every jar contains only pure, top-quality flavors that deserve a place on the finest tables.

Signature Produce: Garlic Confit

Slow-Cooked | Additive-Free | Professionally Curated

Our Garlic Confit represents the heart of the Adriatic Jar philosophy. Hand-peeled cloves slow-cooked in premium oil until they reach a buttery, golden perfection. No preservatives, no shortcuts—just the pure essence of a chef’s pantry, ready for your table.
